"True love isn't easy, but it must be fought for. Because once you find it, it can never be replaced."

15 years ago, Christian Clarke and Syed Masood had a chance meeting. At what once was called the R&R, their story began.

Fast forward three years and life wasn't what it had seemed originally.

Christian and Syed were together until six years ago. Christian had an affair, and unable to cope with the devastation and hurt he had sprung upon Syed, Christian fled Walford.

In the meantime, Syed's Ex-wife Amira had reappeared with their daughter. Born August 17th 2005. Before Syed could even get the words out Is she mine? Amira had yet again, vanished.

With Amira gone, and Syed having no family due to him being cast out, he had no choice but to raise Yasmin his self.

The first port of call was to change her name. Born Yasmin Shah, he quickly had it changed to:

Yasmin Kalani Masood.

Once the legal side of things were resolved and taken care of, Syed then focussed on forging a relationship with Yasmin.

To say it wasn't easy, well.. That'd be putting it lightly.

Amira had allowed Yasmin free reins on everything. Food, bed-time, electronics, the lot.  It sadened and devastated him to think that Amira hadn't even tried to raise Yasmin at all.

Simply handing her the iPad was her way of 'Parenting'.

Eventually however, things started to change and Yasmin started to behave and trust him and Syed felt comfortable and relaxed raising her.

At 5 years old, he started teaching her basic Arabic and it wasn't long before she was fluent.

Six months later, their lives changed forever. On what seemed a very ordinary, very dull day, there was a knock at the door.

Christian had returned. His eyes red, bruises dotted around his face and arms, it was clear that something had occurred for him to return now.

Syed hurried Christian inside and settled Yasmin with one of her favourite books, leaving her with strict instructions to not come out her room until he told her to.

"What the HELL has happened to you?" Syed spoke, his voice a mix of anger and confusion.

"It's nothing, really. I shouldn't of come here. It was a mistake..." Christian said as he shook his head and went to stand, visibly swaying.

"You're in no fit state to go anywhere, so in the mean time you might as well tell me what has happened." Syed ordered as he forcibly sat Christian down.

Before Christian could speak, a head poked round the corner.

"Daddy?" the voice spoke. Small and frightened.

"Yas?" Syed asked as he turned around to see Yasmin hiding.

"Ma alkhata habi?" What's wrong my love? he asked.

"Ana khayifi."  I am scared.

Indicating to a confused Christian, Syed spoke softly.

" Al' iinjiziat min fadliki." English please.

"Daddy? I'm scared." Yasmin spoke, edging towards her father.

"There's nothing to be afraid of. Would daddy let anything happen to you? Hmmm?" Syed asked tickling under Yasmin's chin, sending her into uproarious laughter.

"This is Christian. He's a friend of mine and he's come to talk." Syed introduced Christian as Yasmin turned her head to look towards Christian.

"And WHO might you be?" Christian said as he pulled a face at Yasmin, making her smile.

"Christian this is Yasmin. My daughter." Syed announced, the smile falling off Christian's face instantly.

"Yasmin, why don't you go choose a film to watch as a treat?" Syed suggested, sensing the atmosphere changing and not wanting Yasmin to be caught in the crossfire.

"Okay!" Yasmin says excitedly, running out of the room.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Christian asked.

"You're married. Aren't you?!" Christian cried out, demanding answers.

"No! You've got the wrong end of the stick. Yasmin's my daughter but I'm not married. I'm gay remember? Yasmin's mother returned after you left and abandoned Yasmin. I haven't seen or heard from her for years. Not that I'd want to anyways." Syed said with a roll of his eyes.

"Oh. Sorry." Christian spoke quickly.

"She looks exactly like you." Christian said after several minutes of silence.

"Poor thing." Syed laughed.

"Now tell me. What's happened to get you in this state?" Syed asked as he stood. grabbing the first aid kit so he could tend to a wound which was on Christian's eyebrow.

Christian began explaining that how after he left, he had gotten involved with a rough crowd of people, who got him addicted to drugs and alcohol. Tonight, this is what he got for trying to leave after managing his drugs and alcoholism with the help of his sister, Jane.

"Stay. I'll protect you." Syed said as their lips clashed together.

And stay he did.

Two years later, Christian and Syed got engaged, proposing to each other on New Years Eve.

On February 6th 2011, Christian Clarke and Syed Masood were married, with Yasmin at their side.

To celebrate their wedding, they decided to head towards the Queen Vic to celebrate.

As they open the doors, the room goes silent.

Handing Yasmin over to their friend Roxy, Both men walked towards where a large conglomeration of people were standing.

They recoiled in shock.

A Moses basket was standing and inside was a new-born baby.

It blinked a few times before beginning to wail incessantly.

Christian and Syed locked eyes. They had no clue what to do next, and more so, who the child belonged to.

Who's baby is it?
