Let's make this house a home

Happy 2023 everyone! I'm back with a renewed love for this story. I've got some good ideas for where i want it to go and i cannot wait to share them with you! 

I'm sure you have noticed but some of the older chapters i have re-written/ added parts/taken parts out. This story has been going on for some time now, so i want to make sure the quality I'm writing stays the same throughout. 

This particular chapter is going to be slightly different. I'm going to show pictures of what everyone's rooms look like in the new house so you (the reader) can visulise the settings.

Anyways, enough of me rambling on-On with the chapter!

Yasmin's room: 

My inspiration for this was girly but with hints of Yasmin's favourite movie (Peter Pan) stubbly woven in. Something that would appeal to a 6 year old, while also being able to grow with her.

The sign that will hang opposite her bed!

Medium sized bed so she has enough room for her wheelchair to get around.

Her desk where she can colour, do homework etc.

Then my favourite part-the Peter pan wall decal!

Matilda's bedroom:

With Matilda's bedroom, i focussed on a subtle 101 Dalmatians theme, with play a main feature. The spots are a nod to the film, while also being pleasing sensory wise to the eye. Then the stars also glow at night so again, good for sensory seeking.

Her Play kitchen next to her bed!

Her bookshelves and dressing up corner 

This is her quiet area where she can come and sit and read, snuggle or play quietly.

Her brand new 'big girl' bed, with again a slight nod to 101 Dalmatians.

Christian and Syed's room: 

For their bedroom i wanted it to be fairly masculine, while also not having the usual grey/dark undertones that can make the room feel smaller than it is. 

The playroom!

On this side of the room we have the playhouse, ball pit and climbing wall.

The opposite side has a slide that goes directly from Yasmin's room, and seating so they can read or play with toys.

Authors Note:

  That is pretty much it in regards to the house. The only other areas that I've missed are the kitchen, lounge and garden but generally they're pretty generic so I didn't see the need to add them in. I hope this helps picture their rooms from now on!

The next chapter will be them moving in and seeing how they all settle to a new house!
