Family day out!

It was an early august morning, and Matilda had woken up early.

"DA!" She cried out as Syed walked into her room bleary eyed.

"It mornin?" Matilda asked.

"Not yet butterfly. How about we head to the beach? You like the sunrise don't you?" Syed suggested as he lifted the 14 month old into his arms.

"Beach!" Matilda exclaimed as Syed grabbed her coat and put it on her to avoid her getting cold.

He quickly dashed into his bedroom and grabbed his clothes, managing ot get dressed fairly quickly considering Matilda was on the brink of a tantrum as she was starting to get bored.

"We goin nowww?" She asked.

"Yes, let's go. Have you got bluey bear?" Syed asked, knowing all hell would break loose if she forgot him.

"Yep!" Matilda screeched into his ear as he rolled his eyes playfully.

Once Matilda was safe inside the car, he quickly ran inside to grab her changing bag.

"Right then, Frozen or Tarzan?" Syed asked as the car started.

"Frozen!" Matilda exclaimed.

On the journey, Matilda fell asleep, giving Syed some peace.

He loved his girls, beyond words but sometimes they can become too much, so he's grateful for the peace.

"Look!" Syed spoke as he pulled up and parked.

"Hmph?" Matilda mumbled.

"Wakey wakey sleepyhead. We're here!" Syed smiled as he got out and unbuckled Matilda.

"At beach?" She asked.

"Yes. We're here." Syed replied as he kisses her forehead.

"Stay with daddy please." Syed ordered, as he bent down to grab her changing bag, before putting it over his shoulder.

"Uppy!"Matilda exclaimed.

"Excuse me?" Syed questioned.

"Uppy pleas!" Matilda repeated.

"That's better." Syed spoke as he lifted Matilda as he wandered towards the sand.

Once he was satisfied with where they were sitting, he sat down.

"Tilly, listen to daddy okay?" Syed ordered as he pointed to his ears.

"You can go play, but no running off and no hiding. You have to stay where daddy can see you." Syed ordered as Matilda nodded, quickly moving a few steps away to inspect some rocks.

While Matilda was distracted, Syed texted Christian.

S: Took Tilly to beach, come join us? could do with the company ;)

C: Morning... I'll see what I can do!

S: See you later!

Putting his phone away, he watched Matilda.

In the last few months she had really come into her own. No longer was she a baby she was becoming a toddler. As much as it hurt his heart he was beyond excited to see what she'd be like growing up.

Christian arrived with Yasmin later up and they ended up grabbing ice creams for breakfast while they waited for the sun to rise. Eventually it does and they watched on happily. They ended up sit for a few  hours more than originally planed.

"Come on. Let's get these two munchkins home and snuggled up." Christian beamed.

Eventually, they decide to get home, wanting to avoid the morning rush hour traffic.

They are halfway home when suddenly a car veers too close towards them and pushes them towards a cliff.

Before Syed can react and try and swerve, the car goes over a steep ravine.

All that can be heard are the girls petrified screams, and then, everything goes black.

I FINALLY FINISHED THIS CHAPTER OMG, it took forever to finish but was so worth it :) Will Syed, Christian, Yasmin and Matilda pull through? Find out in the next instalment of Chryed- Lost love.
