Chryed Lost Love- Wouldn't change a thing

It's the following day and the couple haven't left the house since they arrived home late last night after being questioned by the police about the suspected abuse.

Christian's friend Roxy is starting to grow very concerned about both men's mental state. She'd knocked on their door early that morning and all she could hear was the sound of someone sobbing.

Christian had barely gotten out of bed, and had just been staring aimlessly at the wall. His heart was broken. Neither girls were his biologically but he loved them just as so. It wasn't fair on them or the girls who had been uprooted so suddenly.

Syed however has been spending his time keeping busy. He had so far:

*Hoovered
*Cleaned the floors
*Washed a load of Matilda's onesies
*Sterilised Matilda's bottles
*Made Yasmin's bed
*Tidied Yasmin's room

And it was only 9am. He needed to keep busy, or he knew he'd break.

The police had told them it could take up to 6 weeks to determine the cause of Yasmin's injuries and whether the abuse was caused by themselves or another individual. But even then they had been told that there was no guarantees that they would get both girls back at all.

It's completely and utterly soul destroying. For all they know Yasmin could be deteriorating. They hadn't been told anything in regards to her care since 4pm the previous day. And as for Matilda, nothing. They didn't even get to hold her to say goodbye.

Syed stopped in his tracks as he came across Matilda's blanket.

His breath hitched and his heart clenched.

The small, dingy yellow blanket was the only way Matilda would sleep. She'd clutch the blanket and hold it next to her cheek and would suck it occasionally.

"Oh Tilly..." Syed said as he wiped away some tears that had sprung into his eyes.

"This isn't fair." Syed said as he folded the blanket up and placed it on the table. He assumed no one would care about it, so he made a mental note to contact someone about it soon.

"Morning Sy." Christian said numbly.

"Morning." He replied back as he walked over to Christian and hugged him before they both burst into tears.

"How are we meant to do this? Cope?" Syed asked as Christian sobbed before saying "Doing what the girls would want us to do. Be strong and be happy." He said as he sobbed once more.

All both men want to do is curl up and hide away from it all. But they knew logically, that they had to face this head on.

It wasn't going to go away anytime soon.

Whatever ends up happening they both knew that they had an amazing chance to be fathers to two incredible, kind and funny girls. They had been blessed to be in their lives and be their fathers. They knew whatever way things went, they would always still be their girls and that they had an amazing few years as a family of four.

"Do you know what Sy?" Christian said before continuing "I wouldn't change a thing."

"Ditto." Syed replied.

Sorry for the short Chapter today but this story has kind of taken a back seat and I'm back and ready to get this story to 100 chapters before the end of the year! The Title (I wouldn't change a thing) Is actually a song from the Film Camp rock 2 and I thought it would fit with the mood of the story. The girls Will eventually return and we will see whether they get their girls back but for the moment I want to explore that vulnerable side to the boys and how they cope. Until next time...

BYEEEEEEEEEEEE :)
