Chryed lost love

This is the aftermath of Chryed getting told about Yasmin's ADHD. Leave a comment down bellow so I can interact with all you lovely people!

Be prepared for a long road ahead...

That was what kept ringing in their ears.

Why was it so difficult to just get their daughter some help?

What were they meant to do in the meantime, Just see her get more and more frustrated and upset with herself?

"Are you sure?" Syed asked as Dr Montgomery nodded.

"It's unlikely to be an anxiety disorder or anything in regards to that. Given some of her history with her mother and so forth it is likely that she may have been showing signs for some time but going undiagnosed." Dr Montgomery admitted.

Well. If that wasn't a punch in the gut then what was?

"Thank you." Syed said as Dr Montgomery smiled.

"In the meantime try and keep her routine as stable as possible. The less changes the better. Encourage to continue activities before moving on to another. I'll put the request in now so hopefully you won't have to wait to long for the referral to come through." Dr Montgomery finished.

"And there's nothing that caused this?" Christian questioned.

"Not at all. Sometimes there are causes such as low birth weight, brain injuries, premature delivery and tobacco usage but having gone through her notes briefly it doesn't seem as if she has any of the above and nor did her mother smoke. It sometimes is just one of those things." Dr Montgomery explained.

"In the meantime i shall print off a leaflet for you to read. It just provides some links for assistance and answers to any further questions you may have." Dr Montgomery explained.

"Thank you so much." Christian smiled slightly as Matilda began to stir.

"Loud!" Yasmin said as she covered her ears and pulled her legs up to her body.

"That's one of the other things, certain noises and sounds can 'trigger' her? Is that normal?" Syed admitted.

"Completely normal, especially with a possible diagnosis of ADHD. It's called Hypersensitivity. Sounds you or me may find normal pitched can sometimes be excruciating for her and cause her pain or to get upset. Have you got noise cancelling headphones at home?" Dr Montgomery asked.

"Possibly, why?" Christian asked as he stood to comfort a fractious Matilda.

"While we wait for her to get the official diagnosis, it might be worth seeing how she copes wearing them in certain situations. You can find some designed for children online." Dr Montgomery admitted.

"That's good to know thank you!" Syed grinned.

Slowly, Yasmin began to calm down.

"Thank you so much for seeing us, we appreciate it so much." Christian said gratefully as he bobbed Matilda around slightly in an attempt to soothe her whines.

"Yas, say thank you." Syed said as he stood.

"Thank you very much." Yasmin said shyly.

"You're very welcome Yasmin. It was lovely to see you all. I hope you can get the diagnosis soon." Dr Montgomery said as the family left with renewed hope that soon, they'd get the help that Yasmin desperately needs.
