The big reveal

 

 

The phone rang, and silence fell across the room as Christian went to pick the phone up.

C: Hello, who is this?

R: It's me.

C: Roxy?!

Christian stood still, in a state of shock. His best friend had been pregnant and her son stolen, and he hadn't had a clue. How naïve had he been?

Before he could speak further, an explosion ripped through the pub, throwing his phone out of reach.

"SY! GET THE KIDS OUT OF HERE!" Christian yelled as the fire began to spread.

Doing as he was told Syed picked up Yasmin, and Henry and ran.

"Stay there! I'll come back!" Syed called as he left.

Christian spluttered and coughed as he helped get people out.

"SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!" a voice cried out.

Running to where he heard the voice come from he was shocked.

"Lily?" Christian called out.

"I'm in here! Please help me get out!" She cried.

Somehow the walls of the bathrooms had collapsed, leaving her trapped with no exit.

"I'm going to try and get you out okay?" Christian said as he started moving bits of rubble.

"Please...hurry.. it hurts...." Lily said as her voice started to become shallow and weary.

"Don't you go dying on me! Keep talking to me Lily, what's your favourite band?" Christian said as he started working faster.

"The-the-v-v-vamps." Lily replied.

"What about your favourite colour?" Christian said as he continued to move more rubble away.

"y-y-ellow..." Lily replied.

"Good girl Lily, i'm almost there." Christian said as he moved the last bit of large rubble out of the way.

"Christian! You need to get out!" Syed called as he entered the burning blaze.

"Lily's trapped, we need to get her out Sy!" Christian said as he finally came face to face with Lily.

"Help me get her up!" Christian said as he gently lifted her up, Syed running over to help support the rest of her body.

"You ready?" Christian confirmed as Syed nodded.

They quickly ran towards the exit of the pub, gathering the attention of the onlookers.

"Help..Her.." Christian spluttered, the effects of the smoke begining to take its toll on his body.

"Christian! Stay with me, no, no, SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE!" Syed called out as Christian fell unconcious.
