Don't worry about me

It's now been a month and a half since the car accident, and the family has slowly began to adjust.

Syed was discharged 3 days after he woke up, and has since began to go back to work.

While Syed works, Christian is either in the hospital sitting by Yasmin's bedside or looking after Matilda. It's hard, but they make it work.

And Yasmin.. She is still in a coma, but the doctors are hopeful, that within time that she'll awaken.

"Dada!" Matilda giggled as Christian chased her down the hallways of their flat. "Nooo!" She screamed as he grabbed her and tickled her stomach.

"I've got you now cheeky!" Christian laughed as he watched the little girl try to escape from his arms.

"Now miss Tilly. It is time for you to go and have a nap. Are you going to sleep in your big girl bed?" Christian asks as the little girl shrugs.

"Come on then. Lets get you in bed before your daddy gets home." Christian announces as he lifts the little girl on to his hip.

"Now, you've had your story earlier, so let's get you tucked up with your blanket." Christian orders as he places the little girl on the floor.

Once Matilda had got inside the bed, he then grabbed the duvet and tucked her in.

"There's your nightlight baby. Dada loves you princess. Sleep tight." Christian says as he kisses her forehead before leaving the room.

"Wove woo" Matilda replies as she falls asleep.

Once Christian is sure that she is asleep, he pulls the door to and walks into their living room.

He is surprised to see Syed waiting for him.

"Sy? What are you doing here? I thought your shift didn't finish until 9?" Christian questions.

"It didn't but then I got some news." Syed replies.

"Is it Yas?" Christian questions as Syed nods in reply.

"She's woken up." Syed sobs.

"Oh my gosh! Babe! That's amazing!" Christian cries as he hugs Syed, before kissing him passionately.

"How's she doing? When can we see her?" Christian asks.

"They said she's still pretty groggy. That's not surprising, especially since she's been under for a month. They're running some tests at the moment, to just see what's what and then they'll get back to us. They said we should be able to see her in a few hours, once they've completed all the tests and let her have some time to rest." Syed replies.

"It's just amazing! We've got our baby girl back Sy'. She's back." Christian sobs.

"I know. It's amazing. Who would of thought we'd be here, this time last week?" Syed replies as he cuddles Christian.

"Exactly. She's a fighter. She's been to hell and back, and she continues to fight harder every single time. She constantly astounds me with her bravery and determination. Not once have I heard her complain about having to take her medication or to look after Tilly. She just takes it all in her stride and that's what I love about her. " Christian says as Syed nods.

"So can we go see her now?" Christian asks, like an excited child at Christmas.

"Not yet. Let's get some sleep. It may only be 5pm, but I'm blooming knackered." Syed remarks.

"Sounds good to me." Christian replies as he cuddles up to Syed.

"Love you" Syed says.

"Love you more." Christian replies as he falls asleep.
